Andy Murray

Andy started playing squash at the age of 11 in Essex, at the well-known Kingswood Club in Basildon. He competed at a junior level in Essex until departing for university, where he went on to gain University Honours for reaching the UAU team finals.

Since these early days, Andy has played in the Premier Divisions of leagues in counties such as Kent, Sussex, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. He has represented Warwickshire at county level for many years in the senior, O35 and O45 levels and has previously been Warwickshire County Captain, O35 County Captain and O45 County Captain. He is five times winner and seven times finalist of the O35 Warwickshire County Closed.

In recent years Andy has gained many caps representing England at Masters O40, O45 and O50 level in the Home Internationals. He has also been a finalist and winner in the Regional Masters Squash Series and a quarter-finalist in both the O40 British Open and O40 National Championships.

In the last two years Andy has joined the Racketball scene, winning both the O35 and O45 Midlands Regional Racketball Championship and one of the O40 Regional UK Racketball Series. Andy is currently seeded number 1 in Britain in the O45 Racketball category after winning the British O45 National Racketball Championships in both 2013 and 2014.
